The Elements series was inspired by Michala's love for the earth: the rocks, ground, water, grass, air and sun. She builds each piece, layer by layer, following intuition and only referencing a color pallet taken from nature. The finished result is an abstract painting, rich in colors and textures, that embodies elements from the earth. A combination of acrylic ink, paint, and chalk pastel was used to create each piece in this series.
